Welcome to the Department of Communication Studies. The department offers undergraduate study from a global, liberal arts perspective for students interested in communication research, skills, and theory.Our seven full-time faculty specialize in interpersonal, organizational, intercultural/global communication, and rhetorical studies.Our majors pursue careers in fields that require outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills – including the entertainment industry, public affairs, law, corporate training and development, teaching, sales, marketing, advertising, and public relations.Many pursue graduate degrees in Communication Studies or related fields.Communication Studies is committed to offering personalized education to students through classroom experiences, extra-curricular activities, and the unique mentoring relationships that each faculty member develops with students.

Chapman Debators Do It Again!
Chapman's rookie debators secured their second silver award this year at the PSCFA Spring Championships. The tournament was held Feb. 27 - March 1 at L.A. Valley College.
