This time-honored event is an Orientation highlight, officially launching the academic year. Proceedings include faculty marching in full regalia and greetings from the President, Chancellor, Dean of Students, and President of the Student Government Association. Special presentations include the annual Aims of Education address given by an esteemed faculty member and bestowal of the Schweitzer Award of Excellence, an honor recognizing outstanding efforts that benefit humanity.
