Ever wanted to try a fitness class like yoga, kickboxing, or Zumba, but never had the chance? The Student Union offers free fitness sessions 6 times a week! Grab your friends and come get fit with the Union!

Vivian Vu: HIIT & Kickboxing Instructor

Senior, Television and Broadcast Journalism Major, Business Minor


"HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training which means that the moves and exercises in this session will bring your heart rate up, drop it back

down really quickly, and then bring it back up again. This challenges your body and keeps you from hitting a workout plateau because your body won’t

be expecting what it coming next. You also continue to burn calories after you leave, so that’s always a plus!"

"Vivian's kickboxing/bootcamp fusion class combines the use of bags and gloves with HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) exercises to keep up your

heart rate and make you sweat. We always end with an abs set to keep those tummies toned as well. Gloves are provided, so lace up your sneakers

and come join in on a class while I yell motivating things at you."

"Gazaleh teaches a power vinyasa flow yoga class set to upbeat, energizing music. Her class is moderately paced and taught for all levels to feel

challenged in. The practice incorporates all parts of the body and will have you moving, breathing, flowing and sweating. A typical class strengthens,

balances, detoxifies and exhilarates the mind, body, and soul. You are sure to see an improvement in your own flexibility and strength from class to

class! All levels welcome."

Rachel Clair: Zumba Instructor

"Zumba is a dance fitness class that combines latin movement, hip hop, and other dance styles from around the world. It mixes low-intensity and highintensity

moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party that works your whole body. This class is great for everyone, whether you've

been doing Zumba for years or have never taken a class before. Come check it out for a great workout, but more importantly, an awesome time! See

you there!"



  • Check-in closes 10 minutes after the beginning of each sessions. - Chapman waiver required
  • Chapman students only.
  • Chapman ID required.
  • We suggest all guests bring a water bottle and towel.

Attire Guidelines:

  • Athletic attire required. No jeans.
  • Athletic shoes must be worn and can only be taken off with Fitness Session Leader approval.
  • We recommend guests avoid wearing baggy clothing.
