In an effort to assist the large number of first year students in our residence halls, First Year Community Assistants focus on the needs of first year residents as they navigate their experience in the residence halls.
First Year Community Assistants (FYCAs) are an integral part of the residence life staff working on preventative programming and intervention methods in their attempt to reduce some of the issues that result in living in first year halls. The FYCAs facilitate roommate agreements, mediate roommate conflicts, and provide programs to first year student living in the residence halls.
The FYCAs can be found at their mobile desk throughout the residence halls as well as their office located in North Morlan 172 on the 1st floor between the stairwells.
The FYCA's are available in Morlan 172 Sunday - Thursday 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM. The mobile desk locations and hours are listed below.
