I joined CARES because I want to be a part of creating an environment at Chapman where people look out for the best interest of others, so that together we can be the generation that shows the world the importance of treating all people with respect.

My membership in on-campus groups like Active Minds and the Mindfulness Meditations stems from a desire to promote an open, compassionate campus of individuals who care about supporting each other and learning about people of different lifestyles and beliefs. C.A.R.E.S. is a perfect addition to my club activities, rounding out spiritual and mental education with the physical.

I joined CARES to help Chapman and my fellow CARES members create a more comfortable environment for students. I want to help advocate for a place where rape and any form of assault or harassment is NOT okay. I know people who have been directly affected by sexual assault, and I want to support them (and all others). Being a part of CARES strengthens my ability to do that.

Why I'm a member of CARES: The fact that there still needs to be a group focused on spreading information about what rape is, how to treat rape victims, and battling rape culture is why I am a member of CARES. This should be common knowledge, but it's sadly not.

I am a CARES member because I believe that every college campus should be focused solely on learning and fostering creativity, rather than worrying about the possibility of sexual assault and violence.

I'm a part of C.A.R.E.S. because no one deserves to be a victim of sexual violence. Hopefully through spreading awareness, we will be able dismantle the rape culture that shames victims and validates rapist. Together we can establish a culture of support and care

I joined CARES to help promote a rape free environment for students on campus. Not just because it's a great thing to do, but because it's MY campus, and MY fellow students , MY colleagues, MY friends who would be the victims of rape. CARES is the first step to help prevent that which means the safer the school will be for me and everyone around me helping make Chapman a safer campus.
