»Walk Against Violence

Each Year, the men of Chapman University don high heels and walk from Attallah Piazza to Old Town Orange and back as a way of speaking out against rape, sexual assault, and other violent acts that target women. They take a public stand against violence that occurs every day.

The men of Chapman know that the best way to stop violence against women is to get men to stop inflicting it upon them. So they put on high heels and literally "put themselves in women's shoes," demonstrating their support and commitment to stop such violence. We hope that you support their efforts.

We invite all to come and walk along side of them. The walk begins in the Attallah Piazza. Following the walk, enjoy food, music, and fun in the Piazza!

Date: September 27, 2013

Time: sign-in begins at 11:30 a.m., walk starts at 12 p.m.

We encourage all walkers to bring a pair of high heels for the walk. There will be a selection of high heels available on a first-come first-serve basis for walkers. Finally, there is no entry fee for our walk, but donations are encouraged and will go to Community Service Programs Sexual Assault Division.
