Requirements: Open only to U.S. citizens who hold a first degree from an accredited U.S. university with a minimum GPA of 3.7; wish to pursue a graduate degree at a university in the United Kingdom; all disciplines welcome.
Purpose: To foster and enhance American and British relations.
Award: Covers University fees, cost of living expenses, annual book grant, thesis grant, research and daily travel grants, fares to and from the United States, and, where applicable, a contribution towards the support of a dependent spouse. Typical award is in excess of $30,000.
Types of Awards: One Year Marshall Scholarship that cannot be extended; Two Year Marshall Scholarships may be extended for an additional year.
Number of Awards: Up to 40 Scholarships awarded annually.
