+-Hate Incident Protocol
As difficult as it is to admit, hate crimes and hate incidents happen. Hate Crimes can include, but are not limited to, verbal, written, or physical actions intended to hurt another individual or group, whether emotionally, or physically based on an identity protected by state and federal laws. Whether it been a the incident involves a slur, posting, vandalism,harassment, joke, or gesture, all Chapman University students subjected to hate crimes who experience or witness a hate crime or incident are able and encouraged to report it immediately. Here’s how.

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX) prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs operated by institutions that receive federal financial assistance.
