A list of College-level coursework completed at other institutions and evaluated for transferability to Chapman University is available on WebAdvisor. The list generated under each institution includes all courses evaluated for transferability either for general credit, or for direct equivalency to specific Chapman courses.
To view approved transfer courses by institution, students and guests may login to WebAdvisor and use the Search by Institution tool to generate a list of approved transfer courses from the selected institution.
To view Chapman courses approved for direct equivalency with transfer courses from other institutions, students and guests may login to WebAdvisor and use the Search by Chapman Course tool to generate a list of institutions from where the selected course was transferred.
Direct Equivalency or General Equivalency
Approved transfer credits may be applied to general education, general elective, or major requirements. Courses assigned with direct equivalency to a Chapman course carry the same General Education or major approvals as the Chapman course.
Courses assigned a general equivalency of 1TR (lower division), or 3TR (upper division) are transferable and may have a specific GE or major approval on file. Chapman University holds current articulation histories on all courses listed.
View Previously & Recently Transferred Credits On Your Record
Admitted and current students may view their Transferred Credits, SAT/ACT Waivers, and AP or IB credits from their Web Advisor accounts using the Summary of Transfer Credit tool.
The information displayed on the Summary of Transfer Credit includes notations regarding a course's approval status located on the far right column. The transfer credit total counts only courses evaluated at the time the summary was accessed, and may not yet include all or the final count of credits transferred. Credits for repeated courses, or courses with failing grades are not factored in the total credit count.
Pending Transfer Credits
Transfer credits taken in progress or missing their final grades are listed with a grade of TI (Transfer In-progress). Official transcripts with final grades must be submitted to the Registrar's Office to complete the evaluation on pending transfer credits. If a transfer course is dropped or withdrawn, unofficial documentation may be accepted to remove the pending transfer credit from the student's record.
Students should resolve any outstanding TI grades as soon as possible. Pending transfer credits may impact educational planning and may result in miscalculation of the student's remaining total credits.
