Undergraduate Students

While in college, you will spend an average of only 15 hours per week in a classroom setting. That's why we at Chapman University believe your living environment at college has as much to do with shaping your future as your class time.

Living in a residence hall is comfortable and convenient when compared with living off-campus. But residential living offers other benefits. You have the opportunity to interact and learn from others with diverse backgrounds. You have the chance to be part of a community by becoming involved in shaping its activities. Most importantly, you can develop a sense of personal responsibility and autonomy.

The Chapman University community includes students, faculty, staff and administrators. In the residence halls, community has another meaning. It refers to the people around you—on your floor and in your hall. While you will have friends spread throughout the greater university community, you will spend most of your time with your local community members. Together you can accomplish a great deal, and in the process, help each other through the challenges of college life.

A Note On How To Navigate The Undergraduate Area of Our Website

The links to the left will guide prospective students through the process of obtaining and living in on-campus housing. They have been placed in chronological order from how to apply for housing, to how new students are matched with their roommates and assigned to a specific housing assignment, etc. For any questions regarding the information contained in these pages, please contact us.
