Ambulatory health care services are provided with the goal of supporting optimum well-being so that students may achieve satisfying and successful college experiences.(714) 997-6851 Office of Housing and Residence Life The Mission of Housing and Residence Life is to work in partnership with students in their education and development by providing excellence in service and programs, advocating their needs and concerns, and promoting a respect for diversity in a safe and secure residential community.(714) 997-6604/6603 Office of Peer and Health Education The mission of the Department of PEER (Proactive Education Encouraging Responsibility) and Health Education is to provide students with education, information and resources regarding general mental, physical and social health issues, that include, but are not limited to: sexual assault prevention, alcohol and other drug abuse prevention, HIV/AIDS and STD prevention, mediation, goal setting, decision making, stress management, and related life skills areas. This department provides students with real life opportunities to explore service-oriented career options.(714) 744-7080 dasmith@chapman.edu Office of Student Conduct The Office of Student Conduct at Chapman University administers oversight for the Student Conduct Code and proactively seeks to educate the Chapman University campus community about appropriate choices and behavior. Students can also gain leadership experience by serving on peer based conduct boards. Student Leadership Experiences, Activities and Development Office (L.E.A.D.) The Student L.E.A.D. Office is committed to providing the necessary resources and inspiration for Chapman University students to discover, define and develop their personal leadership identities through critical thinking, community building and social responsibility. Through each service and program we provide, we seek to motivate students to achieve their maximum potential and value to lifelong learning. Student Psychological Counseling Services (SPCS) Our mission to students has three complementary functions: preventive, remedial and developmental. The preventive function role is to anticipate environmental conditions that may negatively influence student welfare and initiate interventions that will neutralize such conditions. The remedial role is directed at helping students assess and overcome deficiencies which affect academic skills.
