»Inaugural Computational Sciences Graduate Conference

Venue: Von Neumann Hall, 545 W Palm Ave.

The purpose of the Inaugural Computational Sciences Graduate Conference is to:

  1. Promote the spirit of academic research in the school of computational sciences
  2. Provide an avenue for discuss of scholarly work among computational sciences students and other enthusiasts
  3. Promote the publication and presentation of scholarly works by students at conferences and meetings outside of Chapman University
  4. Assist each other academically in our individual and collective research
  5. Bring to light the various research interests of students of the School of Computational Sciences and related disciplines, such as the School of Earth Sciences, Food Sciences and Physical Therapy that make use of computational methods

Scope of Participation

  1. Graduate students of the Schools of Computational Sciences and Earth Sciences mainly, and students from other related fields applying one form of computational method or another
  2. For this year, we are opening a single spot for an undergraduate student presentation

Call for Participation

  1. Students from the school of Computational Sciences and Earth Sciences will have their submissions reviewed for presentation by their respective advisors or faculty member whom they conduct research with. Students from others schools will have their submission reviewed by a faculty member of the School of Computational Sciences/Mathematics.
  2. Information to be provided should include an abstract with an authorizing faculty member.
  3. Interested students should get approval from their advisor or collaborating Professor and send title/abstract of presentation to the contacts below by Friday, March 19, 2013
