The Hoag Center offers resources for students interested in obtaining professional certifications or continuing education credits related to finance or real estate.
To obtain the Bloomberg Certification, students must complete the Bloomberg Essential Training Program. This online training program is designed to equip financial professionals with comprehensive knowledge of the Bloomberg Professional service. The program consists of 2 sections: Bloomberg Core Videos and Market Sectors Videos. After viewing all the required videos, students will need to request an exam for each section. Once the exams are completed with a passing score, the Bloomberg HelpDesk will issue the Certificate of completion by request. The certification can be completed at the Bloomberg Terminal located in the Janes Financial Center on the 2nd floor of Beckman Hall.
Bloomberg Aptitude Test
The BAT is a two-hour online test designed with leading financial institutions and academics to uncover knowledge and skills relevant for a financial career. Subject areas covered on the BAT include Chart & Graph Analysis, Global Markets, Investment Banking, Financial Statements Analysis, Analytical Reasoning, Math Skills, Economics, and New Analysis.
Chapman University will hold two BAT sessions on campus per semester. If you are interested in participating, let us know.
Chapman students take the CFA exam ever year, and our finance courses prepare them for the rigorous series of three exams. Make an appointment to speak to the Director of the Hoag Center about the CFA Exam.
Real Estate Salesperson License
To qualify for Real Estate Salesperson examination, the applicant must complete Real Estate Principles, Real Estate Finance, and Real Estate Practice (Real Estate Practice is not currently offered by Chapman University, but available at nearby Saddleback Community College. To obtain the license, applicants must complete a written examination administered by the Department of Real Estate.
