Arson
DATE & TIME OF OCCURRENCE: December 8, 2008
LOCATION: 535 N. Grand (Henley Hall) West elevator
REPORTED OFFENSE: Unknown person(s) lit the plastic light cover on fire. On December 2, 2008 someone burned a smiley face into the same light fixture. It is believed that this occurrence was an attempt to do the same but instead caused the light cover to ignite.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION (provided by complainants): Unknown
WEAPON USED: Possible cigarette “torch style” lighter
SUSPECT VEHICLE: Unknown

REPORT SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY - Criminals do not want to be seen or heard. For that reason they rarely commit crime in front of law enforcement officers. We rely on the community to contact us when suspicious persons or activities occur. We would much rather respond and not be needed than to not be called when something could have been prevented. Trust your instincts; if something does not feel right, it probably isn’t.
