Ronald P. Jordan, BPharm, RPh, FAPhA
Dean Jordan was recruited by Chapman University, to found the School of Pharmacy at its new multidisciplinary Health Sciences Campus in Irvine, California in February of 2013. As the founding Dean and chief executive of the school he is responsible for all aspects of the strategic direction and development of the new program.
Nancy Alvarez, PharmD, BCPS, FAPhA
Assistant Dean, Experiential Education and Continuing Professional Development Clinical Assistant Professor
Dr. Nancy A. Alvarez is the Assistant Dean, Experiential Education and Continuing Professional Development and Clinical Assistant Professor for the School of Pharmacy where she will be responsible for identifying practice sites and supporting preceptors who will deliver practical education and training for student pharmacists.
Lawrence “LB” Brown, PharmD, PhD, FAPhA
Associate Dean of Student and Academic Affairs, Professor of Pharmacoeconomics and Health Policy
Dr. Lawrence “LB” Brown is Associate Dean of Student and Academic Affairs and a Full Professor in the school of pharmacy, where he will be responsible for admissions, curriculum, and progression of students.
Keykavous Parang, PharmD, PhD
Associate Dean of Research, Graduate Studies and Global Affairs, Professor of Medicinal Chemistry
The Associate Dean of Research, Graduate Studies, and Global Affairs is responsible for initiating and promoting cutting-edge research activities within CUSP, administration of the graduate (M.S., Ph.D.) programs, developing the shared research core facilities, capital equipment requests, hiring high quality research faculty in different levels, and establishing relationships with other national and international institutions to promote the collaborative research programs.
Laura M. Cook, Pharm.D.
Dean's Special Faculty Advisor to Pre-Pharmacy Students
Laura holds a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of the Pacific and has a 20-year background in retail pharmacy. She received her post-doctoral residency training at Syntex Labs in Palo Alto then continued on to the Veteran's Hospital in La Jolla. Dr. Cook managed several Rite Aid pharmacies in the Orange County area before becoming a home health care infusion pharmacist in 2009 for a small business.
Dr. Cook has been a dedicated advocate for quality education in her community; serving as an officer of the PTA every year for the last 15 years and currently sitting on the Health and Welfare Committee for the Irvine Unified School District. She serves on the Board of Directors for several non-profit organizations which serve underprivileged youth and women in Orange County. She is committed to serving the Chapman pharmacy students and the entire Chapman family.
Director of Administrative Operations
In collaboration with the Dean and the Senior Leadership Council of the School of Pharmacy, Sharon Krueger is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the day-to-day business and financial operations of the School of Pharmacy as well as providing administrative oversight and development to staff. In addition, she provides executive-level support to the Dean and serves as the central information resource for the school.
Lauren McAnelly is responsible for assisting with the coordination of numerous administrative and logistical functions of the School of Pharmacy. Also, she serves as the receptionist in the office of the Dean.
