- Biography
Director, choreographer and performer Todd Nielsen acted as Resident Director for the “Cheetah” National Tour of Disney’s The Lion King. Since then he has been directing in and around the LA area. Recent projects have included How the Other Half Loves at International City Theatre, No Sex Please, We’re British for the Norris Theatre, White Christmas for Cabrillo Music Theatre, Charlotte’s Web for the Nine O’Clock Players and Ben Franklin In Paris for Musical Theatre West and 42nd Street Moon in San Francisco. Other recent directing projects include Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune and Tom, Dick and Harry at International City Theatre, both honored as Critic’s Choice by the LA Times, Plaid Tidings for the Oregon Cabaret Theatre, Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Welk Resort in Escondido and Disney’s Beauty and the Beast for the historic Croswell Opera House in Michigan. He also acted as Associate Director for the first annual International Mystery Writer’s Festival in Owensboro, Kentucky. As a performer, Todd most recently appeared in Musical Theatre West’s production of 1776 and their production of The Wizard of Oz.
