Biography

Dr. Nicole Marquez is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Chapman University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program.  She graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006 from Chapman University.  Dr. Marquez completed extensive training in orthopedics after graduating from Chapman’s DPT program.  She is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist and treats patients part-time at outpatient orthopedic clinics while teaching full-time at Chapman University.  Her academic area of interest is anatomy dissection and orthopedics.  In addition, Dr. Marquez possesses a great passion for the advancement of physical therapy in developing countries.  She has taught continuing education courses in El Salvador, Peru, and Costa Rica.  Her current research interest is to identify successful teaching methods when teaching in developing countries in order to expand physical therapy knowledge globally.  Dr. Marquez is also active in several associations including Health Volunteers Overseas, American Association of Clinical Anatomists, and the American Physical Therapy Association.
