Biography
Islam’s research aims to better understand the structure-property relationship of
polymeric materials for biomedical engineering. We are exploring the science of control
physical and chemical functionality of polymer-based systems with different structural
integrity for advanced health care applications. The focus of this research program
revolves around designing polymer-based micro/nanogels with controlled shape, size,
and chemical and physical properties for drug delivery and sensing applications.
