Biography

Melaina Larson is a professional ballroom dancer, currently competing in the American Smooth division.  She has been a world finalist in the open American Smooth and the U.S. National Champion in rising star American Smooth.  She has been a professional finalist in nearly every major dancesport competition in the U.S.  Additionally, she teaches all styles of ballroom dance in Orange County and actively competes on the U.S. Pro/Am circuit with her students. Melaina studied classical ballet for 12 years and has competed in figure skating.  She holds a B.S. in Sociology and a minor in Ballroom Dance from Brigham Young University, and an M.P.A. in Public Management from the University of the District of Columbia.
