Biography and Teaching Experience

Maria J. Garcia is currently an adjunct professor at Chapman University, teaching Literacy and Learning: Elementary Reading and PSP (Practical Spanish for Professionals).  In the last 29 years she has worked as:

  • Curriculum Specialist in World Languages & Seal of Biliteracy K-12 and Dual Immersion Programs Coordinator, Santa Ana Unified School District (2014-present)
  • Adjunct Professor and Reading Supervisor, CES & College of Humanities & Social Science, Department of World Languages and Culture (2006-present)
  • Bilingual Resource Teacher & Teacher on Special Assignments, Santa Ana Unified School District (2006-2014)
