Biography

In addition to the degrees listed in the Education section above, Dr. Tsu holds the following credentials:  BCPS and CGP.  Dr. Tsu completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from University of California Irvine, and earned her PharmD degree at University of California San Diego School of Pharmacy.  She completed her PGY1 acute care and PGY2 cardiology residencies at University of California Davis Medical Center.

Prior to joining Chapman University School of Pharmacy, Dr. Tsu was an Assistant Professor at Midwestern University College of Pharmacy – Glendale in Arizona.  During her time there, she was a lecturer and course coordinator in the cardiovascular portion of the curriculum.  She also established her acute care practice site at Banner Boswell Medical Center, a geriatric hospital in Sun City, Arizona.  She served as the clinical pharmacist for the cardiology and cardiovascular surgery teams, while also precepting pharmacy students and residents.  In 2014, she was recognized as the Faculty Preceptor of the Year.

Dr. Tsu’s area of research interest include relates to cardiovascular care in the acute care and transition of care settings.  Her goals are to evaluate the role of pharmacists in patient care outcomes with cardiovascular pharmacotherapy, especially in geriatric patients.  Her current ongoing projects include evaluating the impact of a pharmacist-run transition of care clinic in the geriatric cardiology population, as well as determining outcomes of pharmacotherapy for anticoagulation reversal in cardiac surgery patients.
