Kathleen Murphy completed her Ph.D. at Arizona State University in 1997 in speech- language pathology with a focus in early intervention.  Inspired by her work with children with autism and significant behavioral challenges, Kathy became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2012.  She currently works in a public school setting and serves as adjunct faculty in Chapman University’s graduate program for communication disorders.

Her professional interests focus on facilitating collaboration across disciplines and bridging the gap between research and practice through innovative programming.  Kathy presents regularly at national conferences including American Speech- Language Hearing Association (ASHA), Association of Behavioral Analysts International, and National Association of Education of Young Children.  She has served as the California representative to the ASHA Advisory Council, on the CSHA Marketing and Leadership Committee, and as a reviewer for several professional journals.  Kathy is a co- founder of 123Apps4Me, including the iPad app, 123TokenMe.
