- Biography
Josh Flynn-Brown is from Redondo Beach, California. He is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Institute. He graduated from Chapman University School of Law. Josh also earned his undergraduate degree from Chapman University. While attending college he published a book titled “In Defense of the President”, in 2007.
He has participated in the AMVETS Legal Clinic every year since its creation in summer 2009. In 2011 he received the Outstanding Clinical Student Award from the Clinical Legal Education Association. While in law school he wrote a paper titled "Constitutional Implications of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: Does the Individual Mandate and Penalty Provision Pass Constitutional Muster?” that was published by the Center for Judicial Process at Albany Law School.
Josh has worked on eminent domain, landlord/tenant, car repossession, discharge upgrades, and breach of contract cases. He has recovered tens of thousands of dollars for clients in all cases most notably in eminent domain and landlord/tenant. Josh has also provided legal input for VA Disability Compensation and TSGLI cases.
Josh currently represents over 30 Air Force Officers in a high profile illegal separation case involving federal law and constitutional due process actions. His work on the matter resulted in a published op-ed in the Wall Street Journal and “Letters to the Editor” section. Additionally, his work on this case has been published in the Air Force Times and Daily Caller and picked up by American Thinker, National Review online and other internet websites. One of his Air Force clients was also the focus of a Time Magazine Online article.
Josh is admitted to practice in California and the United States District Court, Central District.
