Originally from Chicago, Jillian Arnold studied in Paris, London, and Madison, Wisconsin before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her passion for cinematography. Shortly after Arnold completed her master degree here at Chapman University, she took a position as a camera operator for NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory,where she has shot footage for thirteen plus missions, including the August 2012 landing of the Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity landing.
Arnold continues to work under contract at NASA, while also continuing side projects such as commercials, shorts, and documentaries. She previously worked with both Steadicam and Kodak. Other notable credits include the movie Paul written by Nick Frost and Simon Pegg and directed by Gregg Motolla, CBS’s Big Brother, ABC’s The Glass House, Freakonomics, and Ray Bradbury’s Kaleidoscope.
