After many years working in corporate America, Ed Gillow gave it all up to pursue his passion for acting.

This life-changing passion was first sparked after watching Martin Milner and George Maharis “doing their weekly thing” in the 60s television series Route 66. The characters and story motivated him to try something new, which led him to a long-standing career of acting for the camera in eight leading roles and countless other parts.

Gillow earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and his MBA from California Lutheran University, but says his greatest achievement was receiving his SAG and AFTRA membership cards. Gillow has taught part-time since 1980 saying, “I teach because I feel it is important to give back. I had many mentors in my life and now that I have the where-with-all, I am ‘sending the elevator back down’.”
