- Biography
Don specializes in Entertainment Technology and also serves as the Production Manager for the College of Performing Arts. He received an MFA in Design from the University of California, Irvine and a BA in Theatre from the University of Alabama. In addition to his work at Chapman, he is a prolific designer for dance, theatre, industrials, themed entertainment and architecture.
Dance design credits include: Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and The Nutcracker for the Saint Louis Ballet; Romantique, More Morra, Elliptique and Le Reve for choreographer Gen Horiuchi; Ash, Rainbow 'Round My Shoulder, Games, Songs of the Disinherited, Delicious Obsession/Sweet Bondage and District Storyville for choreographer Donald McKayle; Circle of Fifths and Tribute for choreographer Christopher d'Amboise; Cinderella, The Nutcracker, Giselle, Concerto Grosso, Holberg Suites, ETC!, and Fiesta for choreographer David Allan; Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Giselle, Coppélia, Firebird and The Nutcracker for Festival Ballet, and well over 450 dance pieces for numerous choreographers and dance companies across the country.
