With an accomplished, well-versed career in the entertainment industry, Diane Ambruso looks back and best remembers the great people she has met along the way. From beginning her career as a professional story analyst for such companies at New Line Cinema and MGM, to writing feature scripts in deals penned by Preferred Artists Agency, working as a story consultant on Magnolia Picture’s Surfwise and serving as the Manager of Acquisition for DirecTV and Encore Media, she brings a wealth of screenwriting and story knowledge to her classroom.

And what she enjoys most about teaching? “Seeing students grow and change,” says Ambruso.

Among her many accomplishments, Ambruso wrote, directed, produced and edited the award winning short “The Hat Lady” and has won several screenwriting contests for “Chainless Soul”, a project that was set up for co-production at Fox and Granada. She is also an award-winning poet and continues to have projects in development. Her micro-budget feature film is currently in post production.
