Biography

Clay R. Stevens has experience serving ultra affluent clients with complex estate planning, income tax, philanthropy and insurance problems and has served as the primary estate planning advisor for clients throughout the country with net worths between $5 million and $500 million. Mr. Stevens currently serves as the National Director of Strategic Planning for Aspiriant, a leading independent wealth management company. Mr. Stevens also serves as Managing Shareholder for Primiani & Stevens, P.C., a boutique law firm specializing in estate planning with offices in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Francisco. In addition, Mr. Stevens is an adjunct Professor at Chapman University Fowler Law School and teaches a course on Estate Planning and a separate course on Estate Planning for High Net Worth Individuals.

Mr. Stevens has authored articles in various tax publications, has lectured on many estate planning subjects, and has been recognized as an industry leader in several journals and publications. Notably, Mr. Stevens has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Business Week, Trusts & Estates, California Trusts & Estates Quarterly, Taxes – The Tax Magazine, Practical Tax Strategies, Bloomberg.com, CNBC.com, and several others.

Mr. Stevens is admitted to practice law in California and is a member of the California Bar Association, Trusts and Estates Section and the Orange County Bar Association, Trusts and Estates Section. Mr. Stevens is an AV-rated attorney from Martindale-Hubbell.
