Events

The Minority Law Students Association ("MLSA") offers a variety of fun yet informative events throughout the year.  The following is a short list of events we have offered in the past. To learn more about additional events, check out the MLSA TWEN page.

The Welcome BBQ
MLSA welcomes first year students with a BBQ during orientation week.  This is a chance to meet people, learn more about the school, and get some good grub. See 2008 Welcome BBQ pictures...

Eight Minute Mentoring
The brainchild of Gary Polk, this event allows students to get access to a variety of opinions from attorneys in the field as well as get great study tips straight from the mouths of current professors.  You get a lot of information in a short time.

How To Succeed In Law School
MLSA has a popular club meeting in the beginning of the school year where we invite the Dean of Academic Affairs to show new students what they need to do in order to succeed in law school.

High School Outreach Day
Also, as an association dedicated to reaching out to youth who might not otherwise choose law as a career, MLSA has partnered with the Chapman Law Admissions Office in hosting an annual outreach day for local high school students.

Mixers
MLSA has hosted mixers with great success.  See our TWEN calendar for our next mixer.
