Considered one of the major highlights of Chapman University School of Law, The Harry and Diane Rinker Law Library spans the first, second and third floors on the north side of the law school on the Chapman University campus. The library provides seating for over 300 patrons and contains over 300,000 volumes and volume equivalents. The library is open over 100 hours per week, has eleven study rooms and a comfortable reading room. Legal research is an integral and important part of any legal practice and, therefore, of any legal education.

The library collection currently includes all basic research materials for American law, including primary materials for all United States and territories. Also, there are numerous law reviews, and a large treatise collection is being developed to support the research needs of the faculty and students. In the coming years, the collection will continue to grow to support the needs of an ABA accredited institution and its curriculum.

The library is staffed with professionals who are trained to meet the demands of the faculty, student body and practicing attorneys. The reference desk is staffed by lawyer/librarians who provide instructional programs and coursework in legal research.
