Chapman University Fowler School of Law frequently hosts En Banc mixers, typically from around 5-7:30 p.m. at the end of the school week. These popular happy hour events bring to Chapman local attorneys, judges, and dignitaries to network and interact with members of the law school community.
En banc means "all together, or as a unit," and in legal terms, it refers to a session where the entire membership of the court participates in a decision rather than a regular quorum. As the name implies, Fowler School of Law's En Banc mixers bring our legal community together to share ideas over refreshing drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and desserts.
Periodically, an En Banc will provide an opportunity to mingle with featured guests of our symposia or other special events, or for the opening of our newest attorney/judge photo exhibit in the Parham and Polly Williams Gallery in the law school lobby. Past photo exhibits have showcased the works of prominent local judges such as Raymond Ikola, Andrew Guilford and Thierry Colaw, real estate attorney Dirk Petchul, appellate specialist Donna Bader, and even our own LL.M. graduate Rizwan J. Sheikh ('14).
