Two Year-End Ceremonies Honor the Graduating Law School Class of 2008

Graduation Ceremony

On May 17, 2008, members of the Class of 2008 received their JD certificates before a large audience of family, friends and faculty members at Chapman University's Wilson Field at the 2008 Commencement Ceremony. Noted legal scholar and incoming UCI law school dean Erwin Chemerinsky provided a motivating commencement address.

Graduation Awards Banquet

On May 15, 2008, awards were presented to graduating law students for accomplishments in a number of areas, including participation on Chapman journals and competition teams, involvement in emphasis programs, and overall academic achievement. The evening was marked by an emotional sendoff to the ever-popular professor Matt Parlow, who recently concluded his final semester of teaching at Chapman. The top award of the evening -- highest GPA -- was presented by Dean Eastman to Carrie McAlister Law.
