On Tuesday June 3, 2008, Chapman's newest members of the California Bar were sworn in by Federal Bankrupcty Judge Theodor Albert and California Superior Court Judge Michael Hayes in a ceremony held in the law school's Appellate Trial Courtroom. Twenty two Chapman alumni passed the February 2008 bar examination, with most attending the intimate swearing in ceremony. 

The former Chapman students were sworn in before an audience of family, friends and faculty, with special guests that included OCBA President Joseph Chairez, Orange County Federal Bar Association Treasurer Daniel Sasse and Chapman alumnus Michael Penn.
