Transfer Students

All of the following links are important to your successful transition to life at Chapman University.  We encourage you to explore each section in its entirety, and contact the appropriate departments if you have any questions.  Each link will open in a new window.

Transfer students are encouraged to seek advising prior to registering for courses.  So one of the first things you should do is choose your advising method:

1. In-person advising.  If you would like to meet one-on-one with an academic advisor to review your program evaluation, transfer courses and Chapman degree requirements, you should contact the Academic Advising Center to set up an appointment.  Advising appointments for new students will be available starting May 5.  To schedule an appointment, call the Academic Advising Center at (714) 744-7959.
2. Group advising.  This option is available for students who wish to meet not only with an academic advisor but also a faculty advisor.  In this session, the Academic Advising Center staff will provide an overview of the General Education program, degree requirements and registration procedures in a group workshop setting.  Students will then have the opportunity to meet with a faculty advisor to discuss course requirements and opportunities in the major.  This session is scheduled for July 14.  Space is limited, so advanced sign-up is required.  To RSVP for the group advising day, call the Academic Advising Center at (714) 744-7959.
3. Online advising.  This option is available for students who are not local to the Orange County area and those who are comfortable receiving important information in an electronic environment.  Telephone support will be available through the Academic Advising Center if you have questions after completing the guide.  Students who choose this method should complete the New Student Information Guide in its entirety in order to receive their registration date.

New Student Information Guide This will provide you with key information related to advising and course registration.	Access your Chapman email All students must use their Chapman email address when corresponding with Chapman faculty, staff and administration.  Use the user name and password you received by mail when you applied.	Associated Students AS is Chapman's student government.
Academic Advising Center The AAC can assist students with interpreting their program evaluation and selecting courses.  We are also the primary advisors for undeclared students.	Financial Aid If you are receiving loans, complete loan counseling and the master promissory note, if applicable.	Athletics Chapman sponsors 18 intercollegiate sports that compete at the NCAA Division III level as well as several club sports.
Math Placement If you have not yet taken a transferrable math course, check here for important information on placement testing and course exemptions.	Business Office Check here to print your Tuition Fee Master Payment Contract and for information on Chapman's Electronic Billing and Payment Services. Language Placement If you have not yet taken a 200 level (intermediate) language course, check here for placement guidelines.	Health and Immunization Records All students are required to return the health forms that were provided in your admission packet to Student Health Services by July 31.	PEER and Health Education This office promotes activities and provides information to students about their physical, social and mental well-being.
Transcripts, IGETC/CSU Certification and AP/IB test scores All transfer students are required to submit final, offical transcripts to the Admissions Office by July 31.  California Community College students should also include their IGETC or CSU certification (if applicable).  If you have AP or IB scores from high school, you must submit official scores to the Admissions Office.	ID Card Apply for your student ID card ahead of time by emailing your picture in JPEG format along with your full name and student ID number to cardoffice@chapman.edu.  For assistance, call Telecommunications at (714) 744-7011.	Student Employment This office provides information and assistance to students who are seeking part-time, on-campus job opportunities.
WebAdvisor and Registration After receiving advising (either in-person or online) you will utilize WebAdvisor to register for courses.	Parking Permits	Student L.E.A.D. Center The center encompasses the following offices and services: Student Transitions and Orientation, Social Justice, Leadership, Activities and Special Events, Service Learning, and Greek Life.
Center for Academic Success CAS provides tutoring services for most Chapman courses as well as services for students with disabilities.	Housing and Residence Life	Student Psychological Counseling Services SPCS provides confidential and professional counseling and therapy free of charge for all full-time undergraduate students.
