About the Center
The Ralph W. Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics offers students at Chapman the chance to augment their education with experiences in starting and maintaining new businesses. Through the Leatherby Center, you will have the opportunity to add an emphasis in entrepreneurship to your major, receive career mentoring, participate in the Kauffman Entrepreneur Internship Program and compete in entrepreneurship contests.

Ball Drop Signals Start of Week Featuring International Guests

Chapman University’s Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship and Business Ethics will host its second annual Orange Ball Drop in the newly constructed Attallah Piazza counting down to the launch of the week in honor of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2009 on Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 8:30 to 9:00p.m. Chapman was coined the “Times Square of the Entrepreneurship World” by leading the United States with the first official event of the Week at 9 p.m. to coincide with midnight Eastern Standard Time when National Entrepreneurship Week officially started in 2007. The University will renew its claim to entrepreneurial fame yet again this year. Join the celebration with this FREE event!

Mike Brown, a Business Entrepreneurship and Honors Program alumnus of Chapman University (class of 2006) has been named the Global Student Entrepreneur of 2006 in an award ceremony held at the Annual Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization Conference in Chicago. He finished first among all finalists competing at the international conference.
