Below is a listing of the many grants, awards and scholarships offered to current Dodge College of Film and Media Arts students.
Academy Film Internship Grant
Awarded to undergraduate and graduate students to help cover costs of transportation, meals, personal expenses, and occasional overnight stays related to their motion picture industry internships. Special support provided by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Bhathal Family Trust Scholarship
Available to graduate and undergraduate students enrolled full-time at Dodge College with primary consideration given to students who display a strong commitment to the Sikh Indian Community.
Eastman Kodak Product Grant
Awarded by way of faculty recommendation for demonstrated excellence in cinematography.
Entertainment Partners Excellence in Production Award
Awarded by way of faculty recommendation for demonstrated excellence in the producing program to assist with the production costs of either Thesis or senior film project.
Leo Freedman Master Fellowship in Film & Television Arts
Need and merit-based award available to undergraduate and graduate students to assist with the production costs of their Thesis or senior film project.
O.L. Halsell Filmmaker-in-Residence Program (Fall Semester)
Available to graduate students enrolled full-time at Dodge College, this semester-long program provides one-on-one, intensive mentorship to 10 scholars by the Filmmaker-in-Residence.
Hollywood Foreign Press Association Fellowship in Film
Need and merit-based award available to undergraduate and graduate students to assist with the post-production costs of their Thesis or senior film project.
IdeaHall Endowed Scholarship
Awarded to an undergraduate student pursuing a career in public relations and advertising.
Marion Knott Filmmaker-in-Residence Program (Spring Semester)
Available to graduate students enrolled full-time at Dodge College, this semester-long program provides one-on-one, intensive mentorship to 10 scholars by the Filmmaker-in-Residence.
Meredith MacRae Memorial Award
Awarded by way of faculty recommendation to a graduate student demonstrating excellence in acting, producing, and directing to assist with Thesis production costs.
The Sikhlens Award
Project grant available to students for the production of a film that addresses Sikh themes, concerns, or subject matter.
Katie Weinstein Memorial Award
Awarded to a graduate student in the producing program who has demonstrated excellence as a producer to assist with the production costs of their thesis film project.
Women of Chapman Student Filmmaker Fund
Need and merit-based award available to undergraduate students to assist with the production costs of their senior film project.
Zonta Award
Awarded by way of faculty recommendation to a female student who has demonstrated the skills and qualifications to excel in the film industry with additional consideration given to a student whose film project helps to raise awareness of women’s issues.
