»The Student Multi-Faith Leadership Conference

Want to serve your community but not sure where to start? Interested in learning more about being a leader in a multi-faith world?  Then SMLC is for you!  This day-long conference will feature a variety of workshops and keynote speaker, from the Claremont School Of Theology, Najeeba Syeed-Miller to give YOU the tools you need to be a strong interfaith leader and advocate in your community!

The Chapman Interfaith Council and Office of the Chapel invite all student leaders to attend the Student Multi-faith Leadership Conference (SMLC) beginning Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 9:00 a.m.

And featuring a performance by Christine Stevens, the founder of UpBeat Drum Circles.

Dream Better Together: Chapman students and founders of the non-profit Soaps & Dreams discuss how to turn your passions into impactful action

Serve Better Together: The How To's of Civic Engagement - Learn how to begin fostering relationships with local service agencies in your community and explore the importance of facilitating reflection following community service

End the day with final remarks from Professor Syeed-Miller and an interactive drumming circle with UpBeat Drum Circles as we pass the SMLC torch to next year's host!
