Nutrition Information

Today's students care about what they eat. They have grown up in homes where nutrition and health consciousness are part of everyday life. Sodexho realizes that just offering fresh, delicious, nutritious food isn't enough. We must educate our customer. This is the kind of learning that takes place out of the "classroom" and provides Chapman University students with the extra help they may need.

With the assistance of a consulting Registered Dietitian (RD), we provide a comprehensive nutrition program that includes not only monitoring menus, but an entire education schedule. We will customize a program for the specific needs of each individual. Our efforts will focus on different types of nutrition education through varied channels of communication to maximize participation.

A Nutrition Newsletter will be published and distributed quarterly on campus. Our newsletter will include healthy eating tips, highlight upcoming menus and special events, and include current national trends. The newsletter will also feature a question and answer section to address customer's nutritional questions.

Lunch Box Seminars will be scheduled each quarter. These seminars will be publicized in advance with the featured topic and a pre designated location. Our consulting RD will coordinate two 30 minute sessions about current health issues and answer individual questions. The participants may be students, faculty or staff.

Our nutrition programs provide an unprecedented level of customer satisfaction at Chapman University. Our on-campus marketing team is dedicated to the entire coordination of this exclusive program including: planning and executing the many seminars; maintaining the nutrition information centers as well as distributing the newsletters, flyers and other communication pieces. Of course, as with all of our programs, our marketing specialists are always interested in seeking more feedback to determine that we have in fact hit the mark in this critical area of customer concern.

  • Wellness Center

    Nutritional information cards for each item on the menu is provided from our Wellness Center. This Center also highlights Wellness topics each month from national agencies such as AMA, ADA, and the American Heart Association.
  • The Nutrition Center

    These centers will be placed in each Resident Dining location to feature even more diet and nutrition information. This center also includes our Nutritional Analysis Book which offers complete nutritional information on all of our recipes. Learn more about choices for good health.
  • BALANCE MIND BODY SOUL

    Wellness/ 'wel-nes/ n.: The quality or state of being in good health. Wellness is a concept that involves several dimensions: physical, emotional, social, intellectual, spiritual and occupational. Nutrition plays a part in the total concept. In an effort to help customers meet their goal of total Wellness, Sodexho has designed a program called BALANCE MIND BODY SOUL
