Our first two years of the summer Choral Music Camp have been a great success and we would like to invite you to participate in the third annual Choral Music Camp being held June 23rd through June 27th, 2014 at Chapman University's Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music.  You don’t want to miss it!

The weeklong camp includes mixed choir, women’s choir and men’s choir, as well as small ensembles in which students will explore making music with new friends. In addition, students will have an opportunity to select electives such as:

  • College Audition Preparation
  • Class Voice
  • Sight Singing for Singers
  • Swing Dancing

2013 Choral Camp students perform at the final concert in Salmon Recital HallThe camp concludes on Friday, June 27, 2014 with a final concert performance on the Chapman University campus.  Chapman University faculty members and other outstanding instructors are committed to providing campers with an exciting, positive and rewarding musical experience.  We hope you will consider joining us this summer!

Ensemble Conductor

Angel Vazquez-Ramos

Angel M. Vázquez-Ramos, Assistant Professor and Director of Choral Music Education at Chapman University, is a native of Carolina, Puerto Rico. He teaches undergraduate courses in music education, conducts the University Women’s Choir, and the Vocal Jazz Ensemble, which he established in 2011. In addition, he supervises secondary music student teachers.

Stephen Coker

Stephen Coker is Director of Choral Activities and Associate Professor of Music at Chapman University.  Prior to this appointment, Dr. Coker served on the faculties of Portland State University (2006-2009), the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) from 2000-2006, and Oklahoma City University (OCU) from 1975-2000.
