When completed, Musco Center for the Arts will be one of the largest and finest at any college in Southern California, and comparable to the professional venues in Los Angeles and Orange County.
Musco Center is also an important component of long-term plans for campus development. Its façade will span the entire block at the Northwest corner of University Drive and Glassell Street, staking out a highly visible identity for Chapman. Covering approximately 72,000 gross square feet, the center will serve as a dynamic focal point for campus life while generating additional community interest and revenue for local businesses.
Approximately $64 million is estimated for the construction of the Center for the Arts. The budget includes all “hard” and “soft” costs including site preparation, site development, selected building demolition, new construction, renovation, furnishings, fixtures and equipment.
