Information Security

Announcement: In February 2008, Chapman University implemented new security requirements for logging into Chapman systems and services.  The new security requirements require that users of services have strong passwords.  IS&T has begun running a scanning utility to check the strength of passwords and if your password does not meet Chapman's minimum security requirements, you will be required to change your password once notified via e-mail.

To change your password, please go to our Account Management website.  If you have not been notified that your password is weak and your password does not meet the minimum requirements below, please change your password.

Password requirements: When you change your password, you will be required to have a strong password.  Your password must be a minimum of eight characters and meet three of the following four conditions:

  • One or more lowercase characters
  • One or more uppercase characters
  • One or more number
  • One or more special characters:  A special character is any of the following: !@#$%">!@#$%^&*()~

If you need assistance with changing your password, please contact the Chapman Help Desk at helpdesk@chapman.edu or 714-997-6600.

Computing services are provided through the Office of Information Systems & Technology (IS&T)
