GENERAL AUCTION INSTRUCTIONS
- To participate in the auction, go to the Auction Portal, then log in using your webAdvisor Username and Password
- Once logged in you will be directed to a page with two information boxes. The upper contains information regarding the reserved space auction. The lower contains information regarding the VPO lot auction.
- In each box the current price (AKA Winning bid) is shown. This will change as the price drops.
- In the upper right corner of each box is a display showing when the next price drop will occur.
- The prices DO NOT update automatically. To see the most recent price you must press the “Update Auction Info” button located at the bottom of the display.
- You may submit a bid beginning Monday, August 20th at 9:30 am but the clock does not start clicking down until August 28th.
- You may submit a bid that represents the maximum price you are willing to pay for the permit deing auctioned.
- Bidding at the current price guarantees you a permit at that current price or lower.
- Bidding lower than the current price does not guarantee a permit unless the final price drops below your bid.
- To submit a bid, enter the maximum price you are willing to pay in the appropriate auction’s bid box, and press the “Submit Bid Now!” button located next to it.
- To change a bid, simply click the “Remove Bid Now!” button located next to the bid box and submit a new bid. You can only remove bids that are below the current price.
AUCTION ENDING INFORMATION
- When the auction is over, you may log in to see if you won a permit or not.
- If your bid was below the final price, you will not win a permit.
- If your bid was above the final price, you will win a permit.
- If your bid was equal to the final price, the bidders with the earliest time stamps will win permits.
- All auction winners will be e-mailed instructions on how to obtain a permit and select a space if you were a winner in the Reserved Space Auction.
- All winners pay the final (lowest) premium.
- Student winners will have their parking fees adjusted through the Student Business Office.
- Faculty and Staff winners may pay at the Cashier's Office or via Payroll Deduction. Special Payroll Forms will be available once the auction price is determined.
