How to log into Blackboard
To login, start at the Blackboard Login page.
At the login box you will see two fields:
| For the Username: | Your Chapman username (e.g. smith100) |
| And for the password: | Your Chapman email password |
Some of the content on this website requires JavaScript to be enabled in your web browser to function as intended. This includes, but is not limited to: Flash (also requires the Adobe Flash Player), navigation, video, image galleries, etc. While the website is still usable without JavaScript, it should be enabled to enjoy the full interactive experience.

I dropped a course
but, why is it still listed on my Blackboard?
Students will stay in the Blackboard course until the instructor manually drops
them. Generally, occurs after the two
week attendance.
How do I
open PDF files on a MAC in Blackboard?
Install the Schubert plug-in for educational
use. Browsers supported are Safari and Firefox (version 9.0.1
or above).
How do I
open PDF files on a PC in Blackboard?
Install the latest version of Adobe Reader. Browsers supported are Internet Explorer,
Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.
Why don't all of my courses appear?
Are the courses
listed in your Web Advisor course list?
If yes, proceed to the next question.
If no, contact the registrar at 714-997-6701 or email registrar@chapman.edu.
How long ago did you
register?
If it was within the 24
hours Blackboard will update itself automatically overnight. In the
meantime you can access the course as a guest. Click on the courses tab
above at the top of this screen and search for the course by: course number or
instructor name.

When are courses
available?
Blackboard courses are generally available 2 weeks
before a semester or session starts until approximately 2 weeks after the
session or semester ends.
Blackboard
use by instructors is optional. Some instructors choose not to use
Blackboard and turn their course sites off. Check with your instructors to find
out if they are using Blackboard.

Contact your instructor for information about content in your course.

compatible with Blackboard?

How do I print in Blackboard?
Printing in Blackboard through the browser can sometimes be a
problem. It is often easier to download the document and save it to your
hard drive and then print. To download a document, go to its link.
Right-click on the link and choose save target as and save it to your hard
drive. Then open it and print it.
How to clear auto complete or remember passwords?
Open Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Content Tab > Auto
Complete > Settings > User names and passwords on forms.
Close and re-open Explorer. That should do it.
Make sure you uncheck remember login and passwords on the login window.
