ON-CAMPUS EVENTS

  • After submitting a request to 25Live, Public Safety will make all final decisions on whether or not your event will need security. To ensure safety of all event participants, please give accurate data on your 25Live request.

**Note: When security is deemed necessary for an event and there are not enough regular officers scheduled, an hourly rate will be charged based on the hourly pay rate for the officer assigned. This will not exceed $35.00 an hour, per officer.

  • Student events should contact Craig Lee, seac@chapman.edu, to attend a Student Events Advisory Committee meeting.
  • If you are serving alcohol at your event, you will need to work with Sodexo. Security will be decided by Sodexo based on the requirements of the alcohol permit which is specific to each event, dependent on specific event information.

**Note: For more information on Alcohol please reference Section 8.

OFF-CAMPUS EVENTS

Chapman University does not require you to have security for off-campus events, but most off-campus venues require it. All security required for off-campus events must be hired through an outside security company.

**Note: Public Safety does not provide off-campus security, but please feel free to call them with any questions you might have regarding adequate security at off-campus venues.
