Description & RequirementsCourse work in the accounting major gives students broad training in the field of business, supplemented by intensive preparation in the field of accounting. Graduates of the program will find professional opportunities in public accounting (CPAs), in industry, in government, and in not-for-profit organizations. Students pursuing the BS in accounting must attain at least a 2.0 grade point average in the major. In addition, they must receive at least a C- in all lower-division core requirements, upper-division core requirements, and ACTG 320, ACTG 330, ACTG 331, and BUS 475. All courses in the major are to be taken for a letter grade.
