EMBA Structure (49 credits total)

The Executive MBA serves individuals with significant professional experience. Classes for this 21-month program meet Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. Special features include residential courses in San Diego, and Washington D.C., an international residential experience and the Distinguished Speaker Series. 

The Executive MBA is a broad-based program with courses in each functional area of business. Students must take courses as a cohort in the sequence in which they are offered.

First-Year EMBA Courses

Fall Semester

Creating and Sustaining Competitive Advantage (San Diego Residential) - 2 credits
Economic Analysis and Policy – 4 credits
Financial Information Systems – 4 credits

Interterm

Applied Statistics and Forecasting – 2 credits

Spring Semester

Marketing Management – 4 credits
Managerial Finance – 4 credits

Summer Session

Operations Management and Information Technology – 4 credits
Management in a Global Environment (International Business Class and Residential) – 6 credits

Second-Year EMBA Courses

Fall Semester

Managing Effective Organizations – 4 credits
Elective – 4 credits

Spring Semester

Strategic Management – 4 credits
Elective – 4 credits
Business and Public Policy (Class and Washington D.C. Residential) – 3 credits
