Talent-based Programs

In addition to the submission of your Common Application and Chapman University Questions our talent programs also require the submission of a Portfolio via SlideRoom. Additionally, all programs within the Department of Dance, Theatre and Music require an audition, either in person or via upload in your Portfolio. If you are interested in a talent-based program we recommend selecting it as your first choice academic major on your Common Application. A Portfolio is mandatory and the requirements vary by program.

Please visit our Portfolio Instructions PDF** for instructions, requirements, checklists and deadlines.

**We are in the process of updating our Portfolio instructions for Spring 2016 and Fall 2016 applicants. Please check back in late summer for updated instructions.

+-How to access the Departmental Portfolios via SlideRoom

The Portfolios can be accessed thru the Common Application:

  1. Answer YES in the Chapman University questions to “Do you intend to submit a Portfolio so that your special talent in one or more of the arts will be considered as part of the admission process to Chapman University?”
  2. A tab entitled “Portfolio” will appear on the left-side pane. Open the tab and link to SlideRoom to begin your Portfolio.

If you already submitted your Common Application and selected NO to “Do you intend to submit a Portfolio” please download our Portfolio Instructions PDF** for direct access to SlideRoom.
