Chapman University welcomes applications from students transferring in from either  2yr. or 4 yr. colleges or universities for both the Fall and Spring semesters.  However, unlike public colleges and universities Chapman does not have single set of requirements which guarantees  admission to all majors.

If you are a California community college student we recommend that you make an appointment with an advisor at your community college transfer center. With your advisor’s guidance, select  courses which meet requirements for either the C.S.U. (California State University)  full certification in general education or IGETC (intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum) full certification. Although completion of the full certification is not necessarily an admission requirement for Chapman it does allow transfer students, who complete either the CSU or the IGETC prior to the start of classes at Chapman , to waive the majority of the Chapman General Education curriculum.

The Admission Office also meets one on one with prospective transfer students. While a meeting is not required, we do encourage transfer students that  are able to get to Chapman’s campus to consider meeting with one of our admission counselors so that we can assist you in an academic plan at your current school that will work in helping you transfer to Chapman.  These appointments can be scheduled by calling the Office of Admission at 714-997-6711 or  1-888-CU-APPLY.

We are currently accepting applications for the upcoming Spring 2010 semester.  The deadline to apply is November 1, 2009 and we will continue to accept applications after the deadline on a space and funds available basis.
