The best of all possible worlds

Not only does Chapman University have an excellent Orange County, California location, featuring great weather and close proximity to renowned beaches, mountains and attractions, it also offers students a top-notch education from distinguished faculty and top-rated programs without the fear of getting lost in the crowd.

A school the size of Chapman offers the critical mass of people and resources to guarantee diversity of thought, experiences and programs, but it is also small enough to ensure students get the attention they need to succeed and excel and develop into strong, engaged citizens with an ideal sized community of 5,730 undergraduate and graduate students.

  • 3,860 Undergraduate Students
  • 1,300 Graduate Students
  • 565 Law Students

We like to say Chapman is the right size--large enough to offer more than 45 majors and 60 areas of study, but small enough so students can get into labs, work with faculty on research or engage in projects of their own choosing. With a low 16:1 student to faculty ratio and average class size of less than 22 students, one can be assured that they will receive the personalized attention that they deserve at a school like Chapman.
