Backhausdance Intensive
Backhausdance offers an annual summer intensive housed at Chapman University in Orange, California. The intensive is a 1 or 2-week program designed for pre-professional and collegiate level dancers who want to challenge themselves technically and grow as artists. Daily classes include Modern Technique, Contemporary Ballet Technique, Dance Conditioning, Improvisation, Contemporary Jazz, Partnering, Somatics, Composition, Pilates, Floor Barre and Backhausdance repertory.

Fall Dance Concert
Directed by Jennifer Backhaus
The Fall Dance Concert showcases the Department of Dance’s outstanding faculty choreographers Dale A. Merrill, Nancy Dickson-Lewis, and Alicia Guy, and guest artists Mark Haim and Holly Johnston.
Waltmar Theatre
7:30pm, with an additional show Dec. 1 at 2pm
$20 general admission; $15 senior citizens and students

Dance Works in Progress

This intimate and informal studio dance performance showcases the works of emerging student choreographers. Dialogue with the dancers follows the performance.
